These petite cityscape postcards are letterpressed by hand in variously colored inks at lady-owned Albertine Press in Cambridge, Mass. They’re the perfect way to send a friend greetings from your hometown or remind a loved one of a particularly special trip after the fact.
The card designs are pressed into 100% cotton paper, which offers a lovely texture and creamy white background. The paper has the tendency to bow slightly over time, but it makes up for this by being eco-friendly, having recycled fragments salvaged from the garment industry. The postcard backs are printed in a soft gray and feature four address lines, a stamp square, and a subtle “Letterpress printed by Albertine Press” line dividing the card vertically at its middle.
From the publisher: “Albertine Press is a letterpress print & design studio and paper boutique in Cambridge, Massachusetts run by Shelley Barandes, a sometime-architect who just loved paper more. Founded as a one-woman custom design studio in 2005, Albertine Press has grown to a team of nearly a dozen to produce a full collection of greeting cards, note sets, tote bags, and journals available at stationery stores and gift boutiques across the country and around the world.”
