Bold and vibrant, these futuristic postcards depict scenes of space travel as envisioned by nine artists, designers, and illustrators working in “The Studio” at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in California.
The brightly colored oversize prints in this Visions of the Future set stretch to the very edges of each card, and are digitally printed at a local, minority-owned union printing company in California. The cardstock is heavyweight (130-lb./352 GSM) silk cover paper. Postcards require a first-class stamp and have a semi-glossy finish; each back contains detailed background information about its imagery as well as a paragraph explaining the NASA JPL.
From NASA: “Imagination is our window into the future. At NASA/JPL we strive to be bold in advancing the edge of possibility so that someday, with the help of new generations of innovators and explorers, these visions of the future can become a reality. As you look through these images of imaginative travel destinations, remember that you can be an architect of the future.”
